Meow the 66th – A Week in the Life of a Social Media Cat

Move over, busy bees, and make room for busy cats! Social media cats are busy, leading a very active life online, especially on Instagram. Every day of the week is filled with a cat-tivity: ranging from meowga, wickedness, relaxation, whiskers and cat as kitten to cardboard boxes, a week in the life of a social media cat is anything but relaxing.

So, what do social media cats do online? A check in on the hashtags of instagram gives a clue to the social calendar of a cat, from Monday to Sunday. There is no rest for cats online.

Monday #meonwday, #meowgaday, #meowgamoves
Tuesday #tongueouttuesday, #tissuepapertuesday, #tummyrubtuesday
Wednesday #whiskerswednesday, #wonderuflwhiskerswednesday, #wickedwednesday
Thursday #furrsday, #throwbackthursday, #pantherthursday
Friday #fridaynightboxpawty, #furiday, #flashbackfriday
Saturday #caturday, #caturdaynightderpoff #caturdayfeature
Sunday #sundayfunday, #selfiesunday

Clearly, it is a myth that cats only relax and sleep and eat. Their social calendar is fully booked, and, honestly, judging from their cat-lendar, it would be high time to coin the new phrases: “busycat” and”busy as a cat”.
